Stain-resistant, natural stone countertops
|
|
Everlife is a stain-resistant, natural stone
countertop that does not require sealing
and is protected by a technology called PermaShield.
The line is comprised of designer-selected granite, marble, quartzite, and
soapstone colors from around the world. Unlike sealers, which need to be applied
liberally across the entire countertop surface and could contain potentially harmful chemicals,
the PermaShield process covers microscopic staining paths below the surface of granite. These paths
are infused with molecular technology that causes them to adopt water- and oil-repelling properties.
This process ensures that the protector does not affect or alter the surface of granite, leaving no added
color or coating. The countertop surface was developed as
a green-building product and has received certifications
from NSF Int’l and the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute,
which have found the natural stone countertops to be safe for use in the home.
